Kingman is the county seat of Mohave County and the largest city in northwestern Arizona, at roughly 3,300 feet elevation in the high-desert terrain of the Hualapai Valley. The community is on I-40 and Route 66, serving as the commercial hub for the vast Mohave County, which extends from the Colorado River to the Nevada border. Kingman is called the Heart of Route 66, with a number of Route 66-related museums and attractions in the downtown area.
