Golf in Luke AFB

1 golf course in Luke AFB, Arizona.

Luke Air Force Base is in western Maricopa County between Glendale and Goodyear, a major Air Force installation that is the home of the 56th Fighter Wing and one of the world's largest fighter pilot training facilities. The base has trained fighter pilots for decades in the flat Sonoran Desert terrain west of the main Phoenix urban core, where the low population density of the West Valley allows for extensive training airspace above the desert. Luke AFB's flat desert location provides an excellent environment for the large volume of training flights needed for the fighter pilot training mission. The installation has a significant economic impact on the West Valley, with thousands of military and civilian employees. One course serves the Luke AFB military community in the flat desert terrain of western Maricopa County.
