Golf in American Canyon

American Canyon is a city in Solano County near the northern end of San Francisco Bay, between Napa and Vallejo. The city occupies a section of the Carneros corridor between the bay's northern reaches and the Napa Valley, near the Napa River at low elevation. Solano County straddles a geographic transition between the Bay Area and the Sacramento Valley, with American Canyon situated near the bay end of this corridor. The city has grown substantially in recent decades as Bay Area housing demand extended into the Napa-Solano border area. Interstate 80 connects American Canyon to Vallejo to the south and to the Interstate 80-Interstate 680 interchange serving the broader Bay Area. The Napa River provides a natural corridor northward toward the city of Napa. American Canyon is largely residential, with a growing commercial presence along the main highway corridor and a proximity to wine country amenities in the Napa Valley just to the north.
