La Mirada is a city in Los Angeles County near the Orange County line, south of Whittier and north of Fullerton. The city occupies flat terrain in the southeastern portion of Los Angeles County, in the suburban zone adjacent to the Orange County border. Los Angeles County's southeastern cities, including La Mirada, Norwalk, and Cerritos, have a dense suburban residential character. The city has the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, a significant regional theater venue. The La Mirada Regional Park and Activity Center provides recreation for the community. Interstate 5 provides the main freeway access. The city has a residential character with commercial corridors along Beach Boulevard and La Mirada Boulevard.
