Golf in Thousand Palms

Thousand Palms is an unincorporated community in Riverside County in the Coachella Valley, east of Cathedral City and north of Interstate 10. The community occupies flat desert terrain on the north side of the Coachella Valley, adjacent to the Coachella Valley Preserve which protects a significant natural oasis with native California fan palms. Riverside County's unincorporated communities in the Coachella Valley are distributed throughout the valley, and Thousand Palms is one of the communities on the valley's north side. The Coachella Valley Preserve provides a natural area with hiking trails and palm oasis habitat. The community has limited commercial services, with Cathedral City and Palm Desert providing the main commercial needs.
