Golf in Pinehurst

Pinehurst is a small Silver Valley community in Shoshone County, previously served by the Kellogg Golf Club—now rebranded as Pinehurst Golf Course in a nod toward a more aspirational recreational identity. Kellogg, the neighboring city, anchored the Silver Valley's mining economy for generations, and the Bunker Hill smelter's former smokestack still punctuates the valley skyline as an industrial monument. The surrounding canyon terrain and recovering second-growth conifer forests have made the Silver Valley an increasingly attractive outdoor recreation destination, and the course reflects the community's effort to define its identity beyond the mining era that shaped—and ultimately transformed—the entire valley.
