Golf in El Paso

El Paso is a Woodford County farming community north of Bloomington on the Illinois prairie, one of those central Illinois small towns where the grain elevator and the grain prices define local conversation. El Paso Golf Club provides recreational golf for a community surrounded by some of the most productive agricultural land in the United States, where the flat terrain and fertile Flanagan soils have sustained corn and soybean farming for a century and a half. The town sits along Route 24 in a corridor connecting Peoria to the northwest with the Bloomington-Normal metro to the southeast, giving it modest through-traffic without the scale to support multiple golf facilities.
