Golf in Clermont

Clermont sits on the western edge of Marion County where Indianapolis suburban development meets older small-town identity along the US-136 corridor. The community grew in the shadow of the I-465 loop, close enough to Indianapolis to draw urban amenities but far enough west to retain the lower density and modest lot sizes typical of Marion County's outer precincts. Two named courses — the Pines and Sycamore — appear to operate as companion nine-hole loops at a single facility, giving Clermont a golf option scaled to the neighborhood rather than the regional market. The Hendricks County line runs just a few miles west, and Clermont functions as a transitional zone between the city core and the suburban growth that has pushed steadily into that neighboring county.
