Golf in Fitchburg

Fitchburg is a Worcester County city in the Nashua River valley, a post-industrial mill city that anchored the paper manufacturing economy of north-central Massachusetts. Two courses serve the area — Oak Hill Country Club and Woods of Westminster Golf Course — drawing from the city and the surrounding communities of the Fitchburg-Leominster metro. The Nashua River valley terrain, hilly on both banks, gives golf in Fitchburg a character shaped by the industrial waterway and the wooded upland above it. The two clubs together serve one of the larger population centers in the Worcester County interior north of the Route 495 ring.
