Golf in Gilbertville

Gilbertville is a village in Hardwick, a Worcester County town in the upland east of the Quabbin Reservoir where the West Branch of the Ware River drains toward the reservoir's intake. Hardwick Crossing Country Club serves this remote central Massachusetts community in the moderate, wooded terrain of the Quabbin watershed's eastern edge, in a town where the combination of the reservoir's protected land and the rural character of the north-central Worcester County plateau keep the density low and the open land comparatively abundant. One course serves a very small community in the Quabbin watershed upland, drawing from the broader Worcester-to-Belchertown corridor.
