Golf in Oakham

Oakham is a Worcester County town in the geographic center of Massachusetts, adjacent to Barre in the Ware River watershed above the Quabbin Reservoir intake. Ye Olde Country Club serves this very small central Massachusetts community in the wooded, moderate terrain of the reservoir watershed, in a town where the combination of the protected water supply land, the rural character, and the isolation from the suburban corridors give golf a genuinely remote setting. One course serves one of Worcester County's smaller communities in the Quabbin watershed upland, drawing from the Oakham and Barre residential populations and the occasional golfer from the Worcester and Springfield areas passing through the central Massachusetts upland.
