Golf in Reisterstown

Reisterstown is a Baltimore County community on the Reisterstown Road corridor northwest of Baltimore, historically significant as a stop on the old road to the western mountains that was once Maryland's primary inland route. Tom Mitchell's Golf Complex provides a practice and recreational golf facility in a community that has evolved from a rural crossroads into a suburban shopping and residential center in Baltimore County's northwestern corridor. The surrounding communities of Owings Mills, Pikesville, and Garrison form a continuous suburban band along the ridge west of the city, and Reisterstown serves as the commercial anchor for this northwestern residential corridor. The Owings Mills Metro station nearby gives Reisterstown area residents one of the few rapid-transit connections available in Baltimore County's suburban network.
