Golf in Frye Island

Frye Island is a seasonal community on Sebago Lake in Cumberland County, accessible only by ferry from the Raymond shore on the lake's eastern side. Sebago Lake is Maine's deepest lake and the primary water supply for Greater Portland, and the island community exists in a state of welcome seclusion — no through roads, no chain businesses, just the lake, the forest, and the summer residents who return year after year. Frye Island Golf Club's nine holes serve this self-contained community, with Sebago Lake visible through the pines on multiple holes, providing one of the more pleasantly isolated golf settings in southern Maine.
