Golf in Calumet
Calumet has 1 golf course — 1 public.
Calumet is a Houghton County village in the historic Copper Country of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, the center of what was once the world's most productive copper mining district and now a National Historical Park commemorating the copper heritage that drew thousands of immigrants from Finland, Cornwall, Croatia, and dozens of other countries to work the underground mines in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Keweenaw National Historical Park—established in 1992—preserves the mining infrastructure, immigrant neighborhoods, and industrial landscape that make Calumet one of the more remarkable historical communities in the American Midwest. Golf in Calumet serves the year-round community in one of Michigan's most historically significant but economically challenged small cities.
