Golf in Indian River

Indian River is a Cheboygan County village in the northern Lower Peninsula at the junction of Burt and Mullett Lakes in the Inland Waterway, a resort community whose position on the chain of lakes that connects the southern lower peninsula to the Straits of Mackinac via an inland boating route gives it a distinctive water-access character. The Inland Waterway—a series of connected rivers, lakes, and lakes allowing motorboat passage from Cheboygan to Conway without entering the Great Lakes—makes the Indian River area a center of water-based recreation, and the surrounding golf in the northern Michigan corridor serves the resort residential and visitor market.
