Golf in Muskegon

Muskegon is the county seat of Muskegon County on Lake Michigan, a port city whose paper and manufacturing heritage—it was once a major lumber shipping center and became an industrial city in the twentieth century—is being augmented by waterfront redevelopment and the tourism assets of the Lake Michigan lakefront. Muskegon State Park with its winter luge run (one of only two natural-ice luge tracks in North America), the USS Silversides submarine museum, and the Heritage Landing waterfront development reflect a community working to leverage its natural assets and history for a post-industrial economic base.
