Golf in Newberry

Newberry is the county seat of Luce County in the eastern Upper Peninsula, a small city in the interior of the UP whose character reflects the timber and state-forest economy that replaced the original lumber industry. Luce County's vast state forest land and the surrounding Tahquamenon Falls State Park—home to one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi—give the county seat a gateway character for one of the UP's most dramatic natural features. Multiple golf courses serve the Newberry area's modest county-seat and eastern UP market.
