Golf in Boone

Boone is the county seat of Watauga County and the largest city in the NC High Country, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwestern North Carolina. Home to Appalachian State University, Boone is a college town at around 3,300 feet elevation on the Blue Ridge, with a four-season economy shaped by the university, skiing, hiking, and mountain tourism. The city's position on U.S. 421 and the Blue Ridge Parkway makes it the commercial hub of the High Country, serving Watauga, Avery, Ashe, and Alleghany counties in the northwestern mountains.
