Golf in Salisbury

Salisbury is the county seat of Rowan County, in the NC Piedmont on the I-85 corridor between Charlotte and Greensboro. The city is one of the historic cities of the NC Piedmont, with a well-preserved downtown featuring nineteenth-century commercial architecture and a notable past as a Civil War prison site. Rowan County's position between the Charlotte metro and the Triad gives Salisbury a character as an independent piedmont city rather than a suburb of either major metro, with its own commercial and civic identity that dates to its founding in the 1750s.
