Golf in Tarboro

Tarboro is the county seat of Edgecombe County, on the Tar River in the NC Coastal Plain northeast of Wilson. The town is one of the more historically significant small cities of the eastern NC Coastal Plain, with a well-preserved Victorian downtown and residential historic district that reflect the tobacco prosperity of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Edgecombe County is in the inner Coastal Plain between Nash and Pitt counties, and Tarboro's position on the Tar River gives it a distinctive setting in the flat coastal plain landscape.
