Golf in Whispering Pines

Whispering Pines is a small town in northeastern Moore County, in the NC Sandhills adjacent to the Pinehurst golf corridor. The town sits between Pinehurst and Cameron, in the longleaf pine terrain of the Sandhills, and has developed as a residential and golf community near the main Sandhills resort zone. Four golf facilities in the Whispering Pines area — Little River Golf Course, The Pines Course, The River Course, and The Woods Golf Club — reflect the community's position at the edge of the Pinehurst golf complex.
