Golf in University Park

University Park is the unincorporated community centered on the New Mexico State University campus in Doña Ana County, adjacent to Las Cruces at roughly 3,900 feet in the Mesilla Valley. NMSU enrolls roughly 16,000 students and operates as New Mexico's land-grant institution, with strong programs in agriculture, engineering, and the sciences developed specifically to serve the state's rural and resource-based economy. The Aggies athletic program competes at the Division I level; golf teams train on the campus course alongside the broader university community. The Organ Mountains rise to the northeast of campus — their jagged, organ-pipe rock formations are one of the most visually dramatic skylines in the Southwest, visible on clear days from the flat valley floor where campus and the surrounding agricultural land spread out beneath an enormous blue sky.
