Golf in Canandaigua

Canandaigua is a city and seat of Ontario County in the Finger Lakes region, at the north end of Canandaigua Lake. The city anchors the Ontario County seat on one of the shorter Finger Lakes, with the lake oriented north-south through the county's center. Canandaigua's position at the northern terminus of the lake gives it a lakefront character in the Finger Lakes wine country. Two courses serve the area: Canandaigua Country Club and CenterPointe, both in the Ontario County terrain of the Finger Lakes corridor. Canandaigua's position in Ontario County places the community in the golf landscape of this part of New York, where the course or courses contribute to local recreation.
