Golf in Bandon

Bandon sits where the Coquille River meets the Pacific on Oregon's southern coast, a position that made it a modest port town for much of its history and a world-famous golf destination since Bandon Dunes Golf Resort opened in 1999. Coos County's coastal community has been transformed by the resort's success — multiple courses, caddies, destination lodging, and a clientele that arrives specifically to play on Pacific bluffs above the crashing surf. The surrounding town retains its modest fishing-village character, and the Bandon Dunes property occupies its own world above the cliffs. This is Oregon's single most significant golf address.
