Golf in Redmond

Redmond has emerged as Central Oregon's second city, growing from a small agricultural community into a significant satellite of Bend that offers more affordable housing and its own employment base — including the Roberts Field regional airport, which handles much of the air traffic for the broader region. Deschutes County's high desert terrain gives Redmond the same sunshine-rich climate that has made the broader region famous for golf, and several courses serve the city and its surrounding communities. The Three Sisters and Mount Bachelor are visible to the southwest, and the terrain's volcanic character — juniper and rimrock — defines the aesthetic. Redmond functions as a genuine golf hub in its own right.
