Golf in Harrisville

Harrisville has 1 golf course — 1 public.

Harrisville is the village center of Burrillville, the northernmost Rhode Island town and one of the state's last mill communities to retain its working-class industrial identity. The village grew along Branch River in the nineteenth century, supporting the textile mills that drove the Blackstone Valley economy. The Wallum Lake State Beach and the Bowdish Reservoir provide recreational anchors for Burrillville residents, and the town's geography — bordering Massachusetts on three sides — gives it closer ties to northern New England than to the Providence coast. Harrisville's main street still bears the marks of its mill-town heritage. The town's Wallum Lake State Beach provides a freshwater swimming and picnic destination that draws visitors from across the Providence metro during summer months.
