Golf in Hampton

Hampton is the county seat of Hampton County, a rural county in the southwestern SC Lowcountry between the Salkehatchie River and the Savannah River basin. Hampton County is best known in recent years as the home county of attorney Alex Murdaugh, whose legal saga drew national attention. The town of Hampton is a small county seat in an agricultural part of the SC Lowcountry that has long struggled with population loss and economic challenges relative to the coastal resort counties to its east.
