Mount Juliet — the official spelling, though the slug reflects a variant — is a Wilson County city that has grown from a small railroad stop to one of the fastest-growing communities in Tennessee, driven almost entirely by its position eighteen miles east of Nashville along Interstate 40. The city has added tens of thousands of residents in the past two decades, drawing Nashville workers seeking more space and lower costs than are available closer to the city core.
