Golf in Walterhill

Walterhill is a small Rutherford County community southeast of Murfreesboro, in the rural farmland between the county seat and the Cannon County border. The area retains more of its agricultural character than the rapidly developing communities along the Interstate 24 corridor, and the landscape of limestone fields and hardwood woodlots gives Walterhill a quieter setting than much of rapidly growing Rutherford County. The VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System's Alvin C. York campus, one of the larger veterans healthcare facilities in the mid-South, is located near the community. Golf in Walterhill serves the southeastern Rutherford County population in an agricultural setting that contrasts with the suburban growth advancing from Murfreesboro.
