Golf in Comfort

Comfort is an unincorporated community in Kerr County in the Texas Hill Country, known as a well-preserved Hill Country town with limestone commercial buildings reflecting German settler craftsmanship. The community was settled by German freethinkers who held non-traditional religious perspectives, and the Treue der Union (True to the Union) monument in Comfort is one of only three monuments in the United States honoring loyalty to the Union in the formerly Confederate South. Cypress Creek and the Guadalupe River provide the spring-fed water that has sustained the community. The limestone plateau terrain of Kerr County has cedar and live oak woodland. Comfort is on the I-10 corridor between San Antonio and Kerrville in the central Hill Country. One course serves the Comfort area.
