Golf in Cross Mountain

Cross Mountain is a small community in northwest Bexar County on the limestone terrain where the San Antonio suburban growth meets the beginning of the Hill Country. The area has developed as a residential zone at the edge of the Edwards Plateau, with cedar and live oak vegetation on the limestone hills. The Cross Mountain community is in the northwest Bexar County corridor that includes the communities of Helotes, Grey Forest, and the Leon Springs area. The terrain transitions from the flat San Antonio coastal plain to the limestone plateau terrain of the Hill Country along this northwest axis. One course serves the Cross Mountain and northwest Bexar County community in the limestone and cedar terrain of the Edwards Plateau edge.
