Golf in San Antonio

San Antonio is the second-largest city in Texas and one of the largest in the United States, home to the Alamo, the River Walk, and the Fiesta San Antonio celebrations. The city has a major military presence at multiple Joint Base San Antonio installations, a growing technology sector alongside a long-standing tourism industry, and a cultural identity rooted in the Spanish colonial mission era and the nineteenth-century frontier. The National Park Service administers four of the eighteenth-century missions along the San Antonio River south of downtown as a national park. The city's economy includes USAA, Valero Energy, and a major medical center alongside the military and tourism sectors. Nine courses serve the San Antonio city area, from member clubs in the exclusive Terrell Hills and Alamo Heights enclaves to city facilities at Olmos Basin and Willow Springs serving neighborhoods across the sprawling metropolitan area.
