Golf in Sherman

Sherman is the county seat of Grayson County in north Texas near Lake Texoma on the Oklahoma border, a mid-size city that has attracted significant industrial investment in recent years including proposed semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Austin College, a liberal arts institution, is in Sherman and provides an educational anchor for the community. Grayson County has been an agricultural and manufacturing community in the Red River valley, and Lake Texoma—one of the larger reservoirs in the United States on the Texas-Oklahoma border—provides significant recreation for the area. The US 75 corridor from Dallas north through Sherman connects the community to the Metroplex. Sherman is approximately 60 miles north of Dallas along the US 75 North Central Expressway. Two courses serve the Sherman community in the gently varied terrain of the Red River valley near the Oklahoma border.
