Golf in Roy

Roy is one of the more densely populated cities in Weber County, built out on the flat valley floor between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The city grew rapidly in the post-World War II era as Hill Air Force Base expanded and service members settled the surrounding communities. Roy's flat, grid-organized neighborhoods reflect the utilitarian character of that boom era, and the city has a working-class residential identity that distinguishes it from the more affluent bench communities to the east. Eagle Lake Golf Course offers a compact 9-hole option suited to the neighborhood-scale recreational needs of Roy's dense population. The Great Salt Lake wetlands lie a short distance to the west.
