Copper Valley Golf Club

Copper Valley Golf Club sits in Copperopolis, a small community in western Calaveras County in the Sierra Nevada foothills south of Highway 4. Copperopolis occupies the transition zone between the flat Central Valley and the foothill terrain rising toward the gold rush towns of Angels Camp and Murphys to the east. The area was known for copper mining in the nineteenth century, and the golf club is part of the Copper Valley residential development that has expanded as Bay Area and Sacramento-area residents have sought second homes in the Sierra foothills.
