Old Greenwood Golf Course

Old Greenwood Golf Course occupies a mountain meadow site near Truckee in the eastern Sierra Nevada, at an elevation of roughly 6,000 feet west of Lake Tahoe. Truckee is the nearest incorporated city to the north shore of Lake Tahoe, positioned along Interstate 80 where it crosses the Sierra crest. The surrounding Old Greenwood community is a residential golf development set in the forest terrain characteristic of Placer County at this elevation. The course operates primarily from late spring through early fall, when Sierra snowpack has cleared and the mountain meadow environment becomes accessible.
