Ponderosa Golf Course

Ponderosa Golf Course sits in the Truckee area of Placer County, set among the ponderosa pine forests that give this mountain region much of its character. Truckee is one of the highest-elevation incorporated cities in California, sitting at roughly 5,800 feet above sea level along Interstate 80 as it crosses the Sierra Nevada. The surrounding region draws visitors to Lake Tahoe to the south and to the ski resorts that cluster around the Truckee corridor. Golf at this elevation typically runs from late May through October depending on annual snowfall.
