De Tour Village is a small community at the easternmost tip of the UP near the ferry to Drummond Island, in Chippewa County. The eastern tip of the UP along the St. Marys River looks across to Canada and features the distinctive open-water views characteristic of the Great Lakes channels. Chippewa County encompasses Sault Sainte Marie and the Soo Locks, one of the most significant pieces of marine infrastructure in North America, enabling ships to navigate between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes.
