Golf in Avondale

Avondale is a city in western Maricopa County in the West Valley of the Phoenix metro, along the Agua Fria River corridor and the I-10 west freeway. The city is one of the longstanding West Valley communities that has grown significantly as the Phoenix metro has expanded westward, with diverse residential neighborhoods, commercial development, and industrial zones in the flat Sonoran Desert terrain. Avondale is home to Phoenix Raceway, one of the major NASCAR venues in the western United States, drawing racing fans to the West Valley each spring and fall. The flat agricultural and desert terrain of western Maricopa County has been transformed by residential and commercial growth as Avondale and the adjacent West Valley cities have expanded. One course serves the Avondale community in the flat desert terrain of western Maricopa County.
