Golf in Dewey

Dewey is a small community in Yavapai County north of Prescott along the SR-69 corridor in the transition terrain between the Prescott highlands and the Agua Fria River drainage. The Dewey-Humboldt area in northern Yavapai County has attracted residential development as the Prescott area has grown, with the cooler high-desert terrain of the Prescott region drawing residents from the Phoenix Valley seeking a different climate. The terrain north of Prescott transitions between the ponderosa pine zone of the Prescott highlands and the juniper and pinyon pine of the lower plateau terrain. Dewey is accessible from Prescott via SR-69, in the corridor that connects Prescott to the Prescott Valley and the I-17 to the east. Two courses serve the Dewey community in the high-desert terrain north of Prescott.
