Golf in Sedona

Sedona is one of the most visually distinctive communities in the United States, surrounded by the red sandstone buttes, mesas, and canyon walls of the Colorado Plateau in central Yavapai County and northern Coconino County. The community has developed a major arts, spirituality, and luxury tourism economy around the dramatic red rock terrain, with art galleries, wellness retreats, and upscale resorts in the canyon setting. Sedona's Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village and the numerous art galleries along Schnebly Hill Road and SR-179 reflect the strong arts community that has developed in the red rock country. Oak Creek Canyon north of Sedona provides a forested riparian corridor in the otherwise arid red rock terrain, with Slide Rock State Park a popular swimming destination in the creek.
