Golf in Peoria

Peoria is a major city in northwestern Maricopa County in the West Valley of the Phoenix metro, a large suburb with significant sports, residential, and commercial development in the flat Sonoran Desert terrain north of the main Glendale and Phoenix urban core. Peoria is home to the Peoria Sports Complex, which hosts the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners for spring training, making it a destination for baseball fans each February and March. The city has extensive residential development along the Lake Pleasant corridor and the Vistancia master-planned community in the outer northwest Maricopa County terrain. Peoria's position in the northwest Valley has made it a major growth area as the Phoenix metro has expanded westward and northward.
