Golf in Bethel Island

Bethel Island is a Delta island community in Contra Costa County, in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta northeast of Brentwood. The community occupies a flat, low-lying peat island surrounded by the channels and sloughs of the Delta, accessible via the Bethel Island Road bridge from the mainland. Contra Costa County's Delta communities, including Bethel Island, are among the most isolated in the county, with a recreational boating and fishing character. The island has a permanent residential population and a marina, with waterway access to the broader Delta channel system. Much of the island is below sea level and protected by levees maintained to prevent flooding.
