Golf in Antioch

Antioch is a city in Contra Costa County at the western edge of the San Joaquin River Delta, northeast of Walnut Creek and east of Pittsburg. The city occupies a position on the south bank of the San Joaquin River where the delta system begins, with flat Delta terrain extending to the west. Contra Costa County's eastern cities, including Antioch, Brentwood, and Pittsburg, form a corridor of residential growth along the Delta. The local economy includes retail, services, and some manufacturing, with residential development drawing commuters to the Bay Area. The Delta provides water recreation, and the Antioch shore area has marina facilities. State Route 4 and the BART extension provide highway and transit connections to the main Bay Area employment centers to the west.
