Golf in Emerald Lake Hills

Emerald Lake Hills is an unincorporated community in San Mateo County on the western side of the San Francisco Peninsula, west of Redwood City and east of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The community occupies foothill terrain at the edge where the Peninsula's flat floor meets the rising Santa Cruz Mountain range. San Mateo County's foothill communities on the Peninsula's western side have a semi-rural, residential character distinct from the more densely developed eastern communities near the bay. The area is primarily residential with large-lot development on the hillside terrain. Residents use Redwood City and surrounding communities for commercial services. Edgewood County Park is nearby, providing open space and trails in the San Mateo County foothill system. The community sits at the eastern edge of a broader zone of foothill residential development between Redwood City and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
