Golf in Fremont

Fremont is a city in Alameda County in the southern East Bay, the largest city by area in the county and the fourth-most populous in the Bay Area. The city occupies a broad flat area along the bay and extends into the East Bay hills to the east. Alameda County's southern cities, including Fremont, Hayward, and Newark, form a continuous urban corridor along the bay. Fremont has a diverse economy with manufacturing, technology, and logistics operations, including a Tesla vehicle assembly plant that is among the larger manufacturing employers in the region. The city developed from multiple smaller communities that merged when Fremont incorporated in 1956. BART serves Fremont with stations at the southern end of the Fremont line. Interstate 880 runs through the city as the main north-south freeway.
