Golf in Dr Pleasanton

The eastern Pleasanton area in Alameda County occupies foothill terrain on the slopes at the edge of Pleasanton, where the Tri-Valley floor transitions to the Diablo Range foothills. The Ruby Hill community in this area occupies foothill terrain on the eastern side of the Tri-Valley. The surrounding landscape has a mix of residential development and open space in the drier inland hill terrain that characterizes the east-facing slopes of the Diablo Range. Interstate 580 and the main Pleasanton commercial corridor are accessible on the valley floor, and BART's Dublin-Pleasanton station provides transit access. The foothill terrain here is warmer and drier than the bay-facing East Bay communities, with grassland and oak woodland covering the undeveloped portions of surrounding hillsides.
