Golf in San Bernardino

San Bernardino is the county seat of San Bernardino County, in the San Bernardino Valley at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains in the eastern Inland Empire. The city occupies a broad valley position at roughly 1,050 feet elevation where Cajon Pass descends from the Mojave Desert and the valley opens southwestward toward Los Angeles. Interstate 10, Interstate 215, and Interstate 15 all converge near San Bernardino, making it a major inland transportation node. County governmental functions are centered in the city, and the courthouse and administrative buildings are in the downtown area. The San Bernardino National Forest begins to the north, with mountain resort communities accessible via State Routes 18 and 138. The city has a diverse and substantial population in the Inland Empire.
