Golf in San Clemente

San Clemente is a city in Orange County at the southern tip of the county on the Pacific coast, near the San Diego County line. The city occupies steep coastal terrain where the hills meet the Pacific, with the downtown area and beaches at the base of the coastal bluffs. Orange County's southernmost coastal city has a residential and tourism economy focused on the beach and the downtown pier area. Camp Pendleton, the large Marine Corps installation, lies immediately south of the city. The San Clemente pier and Avenida del Mar provide a focal commercial area near the beach. Interstate 5 runs through the inland portion of the city, and Metrolink commuter rail connects San Clemente to the broader regional rail network.
