Golf in Mission Viejo

Mission Viejo is a city in Orange County in the south county Saddleback Valley, one of the larger planned communities in California. The city was developed on former ranch land starting in the late 1960s, with a planned community structure of residential villages centered on the man-made Lake Mission Viejo. Orange County's south county planned communities, including Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Aliso Viejo, were all developed on portions of the former Moulton and O'Neill ranch lands. The city has a mixed residential and commercial character, with Crown Valley Parkway and Marguerite Parkway as main arterials. Lake Mission Viejo, a private recreational lake, is accessible to city residents. Interstate 5 provides the main freeway connection through the city.
